Liebe Oma, wir hatten eine sehr berührende Trauer-/Geburtstagsfeier zu Deiner Ehren. Viele von unserer Familie waren dabei, ganz wie Du es immer gemocht hast. Ich danke Dir von ganzem Herzen für den Zusammenhalt, den Du unserer grossen Familie geschenkt hast. Viele kleine, schöne Momente mit Dir werden mich ein Leben lang begleiten.

We are very sorry to hear that Oma has passed away. She will be missed but will be fondly remembered. Whenever I would think of Oma I would smile. I still do. She was wonderful as an Oma. Happy, loving, warm and that's how I will remember her.

For us, some of our brightest memories include Oma dancing at her 95th birthday party, and of Oma at our wedding, smiling and happy, surrounded by family. This is how we will always remember her.

To remember Oma is to recognize a long life which saw many of the world's more drastic changes and challenges. These experiences were reflected in her character which we all knew as both strong and generous. We will miss her but are happy to know that she has retired to a good place.
